The spiral welded pipe unit is a standard finalized unit developed and improved by Duolek Heavy Industries on the basis of absorbing the essence of foreign forming process technologies and combining with the actual domestic situation. It is a mature unit with the most competitiveness and technical characteristics of Duolek Heavy Industries.

▶ The production process of the spiral welded pipe unit:

  • The raw materials are strip steel coils, welding wire, and flux. Strict physical and chemical inspections must be conducted before investment.
  • The head and tail of the strip steel are connected by single or double wire submerged arc welding, and after being rolled into a steel pipe, active submerged arc welding is used for repair welding.
  • Before forming, the strip steel undergoes leveling, trimming, planing, surface cleaning, transportation, and pre bending treatment.
  • Using an electric contact pressure gauge to control the pressure of the oil cylinders on both sides of the conveyor to ensure the smooth transportation of the strip steel.
  • Adopting external or internal control roller molding.
  • The use of a weld seam gap control device ensures that the weld seam gap meets the welding requirements, and the pipe diameter, misalignment, and weld seam gap are strictly controlled.
  • Both internal and external welding are carried out using American Lincoln welding machines for single or double wire submerged arc welding, in order to achieve stable welding quality.
  • Use an air plasma cutting machine to cut steel pipes into individual pieces.
  • Each batch of steel pipes must undergo a strict inspection system to check the mechanical properties, chemical composition, fusion condition, surface quality of the steel pipes, and undergo non-destructive testing to ensure that the pipe manufacturing process is qualified before it can be officially put into production.
▶ Fully automatic steel pipe hydraulic pressure testing machine
The hydraulic pressure testing machine is mainly used for conducting pressure tests on welded pipes, and it has the functions of computer recording, storing, printing, and presenting test results. The pipe diameter range is Φ20-Φ3500mm, and the test pressure is 10-110MPa.
▶ Fully automatic pipe end facing and beveling machine
The pipe end facing and beveling machine is mainly used for facing the pipe ends of welded pipes and processing the bevels. It is equipped with a profiling beveling cutter, and the processed bevels are uniform and beautiful. The pipe end facing and beveling machines provided by our company for steel pipe manufacturing enterprises meet standards such as API-5L, API-5CT, BS1387-85, ASTM, and GB9711.
▶ Ultrasonic flaw detector:
It will automatically alarm and spray marks for defects, and workers will adjust the parameters accordingly;
The parts of the weld seam with continuous ultrasonic flaw detection marks will be rechecked by manual ultrasonic and X-ray inspection;
For the repaired defects, they will be subject to non-destructive inspection again until it is confirmed that the defects have been eliminated;
▶ X-ray steel pipe inspection:
This inspection system is seamlessly connected to the entire production line and meets the control and management process requirements of steel pipe manufacturers. The entire system has a high degree of automation. It is used for operation and inspection and has an extremely high market share in domestic steel pipe production lines.
